I love this so much.
Tyler Neylon built 50 different designs using one 50-piece Lego set. Forget about Star Wars, Harry Potter and whatnot – this is what Legos is all about. I grew up playing with Legos, and I'm convinced that's why I'm still building and designing things today.
Makes me want to go buy a Lego Creator set.
This is a cool piece – it somewhat reminds me of the Porca Miseria chandelier made of exploding dinner plates by Ingo Maurer ("It will be mine. Oh, yes... It will be mine").
Human figures constructed out of dice, very cool!
An awesome tutting video. Watch the whole thing, I'll say no more (thx Mike Lambert!)
Many of you probably know of Anish Kapoor from The Bean in Chicago.
Well, he recently created an absolutely fantastic installation in Paris which I was lucky enough to catch last week. At 100ft tall and 300 wide, it's like walking into a giant, warm, pressurized womb. Kapoor really knows how to make the most of a space.
French curators have been doing some great things with modern art in classic spaces. This took place in the Grand Palais, and a few years back I saw a fantastic Jeff Koons exhibit at Versailles.
FRAMED* is a picture frame designed for digital artwork. Slick luxury product design, innovative software, and an interesting business-model opportunity. Very impressive!
I agree with Jason , this is definitely one of my favorite Halloween costumes ever.
For those not familiar with it, here's a comparison with the original stencil.
Negative-space billboard - so clever!
